Cognorobots’: A class that risks humanity's existential existence !

The brain is a biological product or a biological mechanism meant to secure 'survival' of species. It is not really meant to probe metaphysical or ontological inquires. It didn’t 'emerge' for abstract thinking. Not definitely to ask questions of reality or ultimate reality. Linking it to civilizations and social structure of civilization and especially to social classes that emerged and specialised them as thinking class that too in abstraction like philosophers and logicians of Greece, priests of Egypt, sages of ancient India or Aztec priest were deviating from dictates of nature . This class then specialized in and monopolized this abstract, “non-natural” activity and made the unnatural activity of cognitive exuberance as the highest commodity to be sought in societies, of course leveraging out of it against ‘natural’ unthinking people. This class, can we call them ‘cognitive robots’ or ‘cognorobots’ systematically used abstraction to create ideologies (religion, divine law, philosophical rationales for hierarchy) that worked to control them.
Basically my point of argument is that the faculty of abstract thinking does not enhance the survivability of the human species. The abstract thinking has produced the venerable corpus of knowledge but it is has not added any empirically-proven scenarios of survival of the species in Anthropocene or non-Anthropocene ways. It has rather created in the name of scientific knowledge, technology and wisdom, the systems of abstract thought that may be pushing us closer to the brink of extinction. Therefore I would prefer to call them ‘ precise technologies of self-annihilation’. The physics and mathematics earlier created nuclear weapons, chemical science and biology created bio-chemical weapons and now a new invention is bone of ultimate contention-artificial intelligence. The Artificial Intelligence may be as Barrat calls our final invention, a predator our abstract capacity. It may represent the final and most autonomous of existential risk the ‘cognorobots’ have created , a creation that could escape the control of its creator.
My thoughts directly challenge enlightenment and humane belief in reason and progress as inherently good and survival-enhancing.
